The Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, presented two people arrested on Tuesday and reported the arrest of six other people for investigative purposes for the videos of "pisacocas" published on the TikTok social network.
"We carried out a cyber patrol operation by intelligence groups in the face of the multiple publications on the Tik Tok social network, where people involved in acts related to drug trafficking could be seen," said the minister.
He explained that the operation was carried out on the border of the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, where members of the Mobile Police Unit for Rural Areas (Umopar) managed to hijack six vehicles, destroyed nine controlled substance factories and apprehended Elmer Filar Chiri Vedia and Fortunato Guzman Aramayo.
"They would be the people who would be involved in the crimes of public incitement to commit crimes, controlled substance trafficking, controlled substance factories and apology for crime, these would be the subjects who would be uploading content linked to controlled substance trafficking in our country," he said. .
In the controversial videos, a group of young people, in addition to showing the process of making drugs, showed off the money they generated from this illicit activity.
